June 2017—before Mash Mechanix was a place, it was just an idea. Leif and Ryan brewed an Albino Stout with Doug at Ballast Point’s HomeBrew Store & tasting room in San Diego. Between the brew session and a few stops around town, beer names were scribbled down on a brown paper bag as they enjoyed their way through the San Diego brewery scene—when the vision for Mash was starting to take shape. That beer’s still here—just with a new name: White Knuckle Nitro Blonde Stout. Brewed with 13 lbs of Loyal Coffee’s 00 (Double Zero) blend from our downtown neighbors over on Nevada. Smooth, creamy, with chocolate orange notes, a light bitterness, and just enough roast to keep it interesting—even on a sunny day.

Nestled in historic downtown, this century‑old building features a cozy taproom and a spacious, dog‑friendly patio with rotating food trucks and complimentary popcorn.
